Children’s Programs & Seasonal Family Gatherings

 
What Wonderful WorldWhat a Wonderful World! Children’s Programs are offered in schools, nature centers, libraries, community centers and during Spring Break, Summer, and Wintertime Break. Together we enact legends & folk tales, learn about animals and their habitats, create music with voice, drums & percussion instruments, explore nature, build faerie & gnome houses, dance to the beat of world music, play with puppets large & small, create visual art projects, build with lego, marble runs & blocks, practice yoga, Chi-lel & Mindful Presence, eat healthy snacks, and enjoy each other’s company.

Traditional Family Gatherings celebrate the turning of the seasons with Song Circles, Spiral Dances, Bonfire Stories and revelry.

Program Director Sandra Kammann is a long-time cultural arts educator in public and private schools, and a senior teaching artist with The John F. Kennedy Center’s Community Partnership Initiative. She has taught both children and adults at The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory in Washington DC for over twenty years, and has trained hundreds of young performers through her non-profit arts organization. She holds an M.A. in Cultural Anthropology and an M.F.A. in Performance from the George Washington University, graduating with honors. Sandra has many years of experience building joyful community through her Children’s Programs and inter-generational gatherings, and is the mother of a sixteen year old son.
