                                           Spring & Summer Children’s Programs     What a Wonderful World

What a Wonderful World! Children’s Programs offer Spring Break and Summer sessions. We enact legends & folk tales, create music on recorder, voice, drums and percussion instruments, dance to the beat of world music, play outside, create visual art projects, build with legos, marble runs & kapla blocks, play with puppets large & small, practice yoga, eat healthy snacks, and enjoy each other’s company.

Held at The Red Barn – Surge Community Church, 1988 Kirby Road (at Westmoreland Boulevard), McLean, VA Includes children’s classrooms, a huge Parish Hall and three acres of grounds for outdoor play.    

Program Director Sandra Kammann is a long-time faculty member at Brooksfield Montessori School, and a senior teaching artist with The John F. Kennedy Center’s Community Partnership Initiative in the public schools. She taught both children and adults at The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory in Washington DC for twenty years, and has trained hundreds of young performers through her non-profit arts organization. She holds a Masters in Cultural Anthropology from the George Washington University, where she graduated with honors. Sandra has many years of experience building joyful community through her Children’s Programs, and is the mother of a fourteen year old son.
